PRIMED-AI: Logistics Center (U24 Clinical Trial Not Allowed)

The NIH Common Fund, along with other NIH Institutes and Centers, plans to issue a Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) for the Precision Medicine with Artificial Intelligence - Integrating Imaging with Multimodal Data (PRIMED-AI) program. This initiative aims to develop advanced, reliable, and cost-effective AI tools that combine clinical imaging with various health data types to improve personalized medicine for patients suffering from chronic and other health conditions. A critical component of the program is the Logistics Center, which will provide essential administrative support through three integrated cores—Administration, Evaluation, and Outreach. These cores will facilitate management of the consortium’s steering committee, governance boards, workshops, code-a-thons, community interfaces, outreach efforts, and coordination of collaborative activities. The NOFO will be issued under the U24 activity code and is not currently accepting applications, allowing prospective applicants ample time to form strategic partnerships and design responsive projects. Researchers with experience in building and managing administrative frameworks to enhance communication and maximize the impact of collaborative research programs are encouraged to consider applying when the opportunity becomes available. The Logistics Center will play a pivotal role in structuring the program’s governance and engagement, ensuring the smooth operation and outreach required to support this multi-institutional effort.
