The Recreation One Stop Program (R1S) is seeking industry feedback through a Request for Information (RFI) on draft documents related to a potential upcoming procurement for support services on Recreation.gov. This preliminary step aims to refine the government's requirements based on input from industry stakeholders before issuing a formal Request for Proposals (RFP). The current contract for these services is set to expire on September 30, 2028. Previously, the USDA Forest Service conducted market research in 2024 to inform this procurement process. The solicitation is identified as 12760426Q0021 and was posted on April 28, 2026, with responses due by May 21, 2026. The procurement falls under NAICS code 561599 and is managed by the USDA Forest Service located in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The RFI is categorized as a sources-sought announcement, indicating the agency’s intent to gather information rather than immediately award a contract. This opportunity provides a channel for potential offerors to influence the final procurement documents and scope of work. Points of contact for this RFI include James Bailey and Katherine Pasini, who can provide further information. The government emphasizes that the draft documents are not complete and may be adjusted based on the feedback received and evolving government needs.
