AI Contract Overview
This contract specifies the procurement of an electromagnetic relay, identified by NSN 5945-00-089-1252 and part number MS25329-A1, under solicitation SPE7M1-26-U-4519. The item is classified as a critical application product and must comply with applicable military specifications including MIL-PRF-6106R(Sup 1A) and the baseline standard MS25329N Revision N dated August 25, 2020. The Qualified Products List or Qualified Manufacturers List applies, and strict adherence to configuration control processes is required, including formal engineering change proposals and variance requests for any deviations. All supplies must be free from intentional use of mercury or mercury-containing compounds, except for specific exemptions such as batteries, fluorescent lamps, instruments, sensors, weapon systems, or chemical reagents authorized by NAVSEA, with additional containment requirements for portable devices. The use of ozone-depleting substances is strictly prohibited in all manufacturing, testing, and cleaning processes unless written approval is obtained from the contracting officer, and this restriction overrides any conflicting specification requirements. Packaging and handling must conform to MIL-STD-2073-1E with preservation method 31, dry climate control, and unit packaging using D3 containers and U packing code, all marked per MIL-STD-129 including the special marking code ZZ. The contractor must apply lead content identification labels in accordance with IPC/JEDEC J-STD-609 on each unit package, indicating lead, lead-free, or other material attributes per specified placement rules. Mercury or mercury compounds are forbidden in all preservation, packaging, packing, and marking materials. The contract mandates delivery within 276 days FOB origin, with zero variance in quantity, final inspection and acceptance occurring at the destination. Only 12 units are ordered at a unit price of $12.00, with total pricing reflecting this estimate, and the item is covered under DLA Direct, CONUS. All documentation, compliance, and marking obligations must be fulfilled without reliance on commercial item exemptions, as the product falls under full military specification authority.
