The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Atlantic is seeking information regarding a secure, Department of Defense-wide SSL encrypted online hosting solution to support the Warrior Core Cardiac Computed Tomography (CT) Database for the Air Force Medical Service. This database is intended to collect clinical, procedural, and results data in a standardized format that improves patient safety, enables collaboration among DoD cardiac imaging providers, and adheres to Society of Cardiac CT reporting guidelines. A key requirement is secure accessibility for all authorized DoD imaging providers regardless of location, which challenges traditional local servers or model servers with limited accessibility. The goal is to establish a secure, web-based platform similar to the security models used by banking websites to balance broad access with robust data protection. This Request for Information (RFI), originally posted in July 2011 and extended to 23 August 2011, is for information gathering and planning only and does not constitute a solicitation or a commitment to award a contract. Respondents are asked to provide company and product details, including whether the solution is a purchased product or service, contact information, a brief description, and cost data. Information submitted will be treated as public and proprietary information should not be included. The data provided will be assessed to evaluate commercial equipment and systems suitable for the DoD’s requirements. Questions and submissions are to be directed to designated contacts within the organization, with no contractual obligations arising from this RFI.

RFI originally posted under N65236_SNOTE_0002473Eon 17 July 2011 with responses due 09 August 2011 is hereby extended until 23 August 2011. Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center (SPAWARSYSCEN) Atlantic, Code 6.3.2.0, is seeking information on a Department of Defense (DoD) enterprise wide SSL encrypted online hosting website for the Air Force Medical Service (AFMS) that will be able to support the Warrior Core Cardiac Computed Tomography (CT) Database. The DoD CT database will collect clinical, procedural, and results data in a concise format, which can output a standardized report that can be sent to the provider, improve patient safety, and allow collaboration between DoD cardiac imaging providers, by following the Society of Cardiac CT reporting guidelines in order to improve scanning protocols to reduce radiation exposure while enhancing diagnostic capabilities. The database will require secure online hosting, as defined in CJCSI 6212.01E that can be available to DoD imaging providers no matter their location. A local server behind security firewalls would not be accessible by outside providers. A model server allows for secure CAC access but is not available DoD wide. Utilizing a model such as banking websites would allow for wider accessibility yet also be secure enough to protect stored information. The overall goal is to establish a web hosting platform. Submittals - due 23 August 2011 The information received shall be reviewed to conduct objective, comparative assessments and validation of commercial equipment and systems. This RFI is for information gathering and planning purposes only, and should not be construed as a Request for Proposal (RFP) or solicitation of an offer. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this RFI or otherwise pay for the information solicited. All information received will be treated as public knowledge; therefore, vendors should not submit proprietary information in response to this RFI. Specific information sought includes: 1. Company information, including name, address, and URL 2. Whether a purchased product or a service-based product is offered 3. A point of contact for follow-up information, and the point of contacts phone number and e-mail address 4. Product name and a brief description (75 words or less) of product 5. Cost information The technical point of contact is Joe Schepisi at contact@example.gov. This RFI is for information gathering and planning purposes only, and should not be construed as a Request for Proposal (RFP) or solicitation of an offer. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this RFI or otherwise pay for the information solicited. E-mail your non-technical contract related questions and submissions to the Contract Specialist, Paula Somers, at contact@example.gov.
