The White Sands Missile Range Contracting Office intends to procure Large Area DataBase Management (LADBM) runtime licenses and LADBM USB dongles exclusively from MultiGen-Paradigm, located in Plano, Texas. The decision for sole source procurement is based on the fact that the 3D graphics subsystems at White Sands have been specifically engineered and developed using MultiGen-Paradigm Runtime products, making substitution impractical without extensive re-engineering and additional costs. The contract relates to software licenses under NAICS code 541511 and was posted on March 8, 2005. Comments regarding the procurement must be submitted by 9:30 am Mountain Time on March 9, 2005, directed to Mari B. Beckler via email or phone. The Department of Defense, through its W6QM Micc-white Sands office, is overseeing this acquisition, which supports specialized 3D graphics functionality critical to the operations at White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico.
