The Indian Health Service Whiteriver Service Unit is conducting market research to determine interest and capability for awarding a contract to provide comprehensive fire extinguisher maintenance services at its facilities in Whiteriver, Arizona, including the Main Hospital, Specialty Service Building, Annex Building, Garrett Building, Medicine City, and the Cibecue Health Clinic. This effort is part of a set-aside under the Indian Small Business Economic Enterprise program, with the NAICS code 811310, and requires all respondents to self-certify as an Indian Economic Enterprise meeting strict ownership, control, and earnings thresholds under the Buy Indian Act and HHSAR 326.601. Respondents must demonstrate they are registered in SAM, provide documentation proving authorized distributor status with fire extinguisher manufacturers, and submit a detailed capabilities statement outlining qualifications, staffing, certifications, equipment, and past performance on at least two similar government or private sector contracts within the past five years. The scope of work mandates annual inspections, monthly repair and recharge activities, six-year maintenance, hydrostatic testing, replacement of expired units, and proper disposal of unserviceable extinguishers—all in strict compliance with the latest edition of NFPA 10 and manufacturer guidelines.
