South Tank Pipe Relining Project

The City of Prescott is soliciting bids for the South Tank Pipe Relining Project, identified as solicitation 2026-NIBCONST-592. This project represents the second phase of a rehabilitation effort for a 5-million-gallon concrete reservoir constructed in the early 1990s. While the first phase addressed the interior shell and columns with epoxy coating, this phase focuses on resolving persistent leakage by performing trenchless rehabilitation and lining of the piping beneath the reservoir. The scope of work includes the exposure and cast-in-place pipe lining of two 24-inch inlet and outlet pipes located within a concrete vault, as well as the exposure and lining of two 8-inch drainpipes located in an earthen area. The contract is managed by the Public Works agency and requires a completion timeframe of 120 calendar days, with a strict requirement that the reservoir be returned to service by March 1, 2027. Bids must be submitted by October 1, 2026. The project is subject to the City of Prescott Supplement to MAG Uniform Standard Specifications and must comply with federal domestic procurement mandates, including the Buy America preference and American Iron and Steel requirements for federally funded water infrastructure. The agreement establishes the contractor as an independent entity and mandates that work commence within 10 days of notification.
