Supply and Deliver Glass Bead

The City of Nanaimo is seeking a supplier to provide and deliver glass beads for traffic paint on an as-and-when-required basis. The contract is for an initial one-year term starting January 1, 2027, with the possibility of four additional one-year extensions or two two-year extensions, not to exceed a total of five years. The estimated annual quantity is 576 bags of 50 lbs each. All products must meet AASHTO M 247-13 and ASTM D1214 standards, specifically requiring overlay type and moisture proof grade beads with at least 70% true spheres by mass. Suppliers must be recognized by the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure of British Columbia and provide independent testing from accredited North American laboratories. Deliveries are F.O.B. to the Public Works Yard at 2020 Labieux Road, Nanaimo, BC, between 7:00 AM and 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday. The supplier is responsible for all packaging, shipping, and insurance costs, and must provide a project manager as the central point of contact. Pricing remains firm for the first year, with any subsequent renewal price changes requiring 90 days' notice. Invoices must be submitted as PDFs to the City's Finance Division with standard Net 30 payment terms. Bids are due by November 18, 2026, via the bids&tenders electronic system, and will be evaluated based on the most advantageous solution and past work performance.
