Switchgear Testing & Preventative Maintenance

This contract establishes a term arrangement for switchgear testing and preventative maintenance services for the Fairfax County Department of Public Works and Environmental Services’ Wastewater Treatment and Collections Divisions. The contractor must supply all materials, labor, supervision, tools, and equipment to perform maintenance, retrofitting, and operational support at designated county facilities including the Noman M. Cole, Jr. Water Recycling Facility and Accotink Pump Station, with performance occurring across various locations in Virginia. Work must comply with manufacturer specifications, industry-standard electrical testing practices, and applicable safety regulations including OSHA, NEC, NFPA 70E, and NETA standards, while adhering to strict on-site conduct rules such as English language proficiency, photo ID display, mandatory check-in procedures, and prohibition of drugs and alcohol.
