Well and Booster Gearhead New, Rebuilt and Parts

The City of Tucson Water Department is seeking a qualified contractor under Invitation for Bid No. 270135 to provide replacement parts, comprehensive rebuilding services, and new replacement gearheads for groundwater production wells and booster stations. The scope of work includes the disassembly, inspection, machining, and certification of gearheads from manufacturers such as Amarillo Gear and Johnson Gear, as well as the provision of OEM or equivalent parts. The contractor must be capable of supporting both natural gas engine-driven and electric motor-driven pumping systems, providing written repair evaluations to help the City determine the most cost-effective path between rebuilding and replacement to ensure long-term infrastructure reliability. Additionally, the contractor must meet comprehensive data protection and cybersecurity requirements aligned with NIST and ISO frameworks, comply with ADA accessibility standards, and implement a written Heat Safety Plan for outdoor work.
