Full Description

This is a notice of intent to award on a sole-source basis for the commercial items in accordance with FAR Part 12 procedures, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only notice; a written solicitation will not be issued. The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Citizenship & Immigration Services (CIS) intends to contract with Team San Jose Convention & Cultural Facilities, 408 Almaden Boulevard, San Jose, CA for 10 dates of convention center use at the San Jose Civic Auditorium throughout fiscal year 2005. An acceptable facility shall accommodate approximately 2,500 people, and in addition to the rental of the hall itself, shall include meeting room space, emergency medical services, AV equipment rental, ushers, stagehands, and security/police services, have handicapped access, and be centrally located within San Jose with easy access, public transportation and adequate parking. Dates of service required are approximately one per month, between 8am and 6pm. This contract is for services which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate only with Team San Jose under the authority 41 U.S.C. 253 ( c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1 unless additional sources are located. This notice is being solicited on a sole-source basis.
