The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking expressions of interest for a potential lease of up to 96 surface parking spaces in Gainesville, Florida, to serve as off-site parking for the Malcolm Randall VA Medical Center, replacing an expiring lease. The required spaces must be located within a defined geographic area bounded by West University Avenue to the north, South Main Street to the east, SE Williston Road to the south, and SW 34th Street to the west, and must be ready for occupancy no later than December 1, 2026. A lease term of up to 10 years is under consideration, and all proposals must reflect fully serviced parking spaces with services such as utilities, janitorial, pest control, and security included. Rental rates must be provided per space and must indicate whether tenant improvements are included and at what cost. The government is legally prohibited from paying more than the appraised fair rental value as defined by 40 U.S.C. 278a and will evaluate all submissions based on economic advantage, including relocation costs such as move expenses, infrastructure replication, and downtime. Ownership verification and authorization to offer the property are mandatory, and all interested parties—including owners, brokers, or their legal representatives—must submit their information via email only to Chennel Davis at Chennel.Davis@va.gov by 3:00 p.m. Eastern Time on May 7, 2026, with Sibyl Graham as the alternate point of contact. This notice is a sources-sought action, not a solicitation, and does not obligate the government to issue a formal contract; a procurement request may be issued at a later date following analysis of market responses. No formal evaluation factors, award basis, contract type, pricing structure, or socioeconomic set-aside has been determined at this stage, and the submission requirements are limited to property details and rental terms without formal formatting or page limits.
