Interested parties must submit a capabilities statement detailing relevant experience—specifically in elevator and vertical transportation equipment services—by February 6, 2026. Only firms with demonstrated expertise in elevator maintenance and repair services, along with necessary certifications and licenses, will be considered. The contract will require the selected contractor to supply all labor, supervision, materials, tools, and transportation necessary to maintain, inspect, and repair a variety of elevators and cart lifts on-site, ensuring compliance with applicable codes, manufacturer standards, and VA directives. Services include routine preventive maintenance, safety inspections, emergency callback response 24/7, and coordination with third-party inspectors during annual and five-year safety tests. The contractor must have at least ten years of recent experience in this field, maintain trained and licensed personnel on campus during business hours, and provide timely responses to emergencies. The scope excludes work covered by manufacturers’ warranties or related to non-elevator systems like HVAC or fire sprinklers.
