How to set up your CLEATUS account
Set up your CLEATUS account in minutes.
This guide walks through onboarding so you can start finding, bidding, and winning government contracts in 5–10 minutes.
Before you start
You'll need:
- Basic company information (legal name, address, website)
- A capability statement (PDF or DOCX)
- Your NAICS codes
You can update entity information anytime after onboarding under Profile Settings → Entity Info.
Step 1 — Create your account
Sign up at cleat.ai/signup and start your 7-day free trial.
Step 2 — Complete your business information
CLEATUS can import your business details from SAM.gov when you enter your UEI. To enter manually, provide:
- Legal business name
- Website
- Business address
- Entity start and registration dates
- Certifications (LLC, HUBZone, SDVOSB, etc.)
Accurate certifications and business details let CLEATUS match you to opportunities tailored to your capabilities.
Step 3 — Enter your capabilities
Upload your capability statement and CLEATUS will extract your capabilities automatically. If you don't have one, enter capabilities manually — or build one with the free Capability Statement Builder.
Step 4 — Configure your bid/no-bid strategy
Refine recommendations by defining:
- Deal makers — what makes an opportunity attractive (contract size, preferred regions, project scope).
- Deal breakers — what disqualifies an opportunity (missing certifications, project values outside your range).
Step 5 — Add past performance
Past performance strengthens your profile and improves your win rate. CLEATUS fetches federal awards automatically when you enter your UEI; private, local, and state awards can be added manually.
For each award, capture:
- Description (project details and outcomes)
- Awarding agency
- NAICS codes
- Place of performance
- Award amount
Step 6 — Explore CLEATUS
With your profile set up, you have access to:
- AI-powered opportunity matching with daily recommendations
- Advanced contract search with full filtering
- The AI Proposal Writer
- Pursuit CRM for tracking opportunities and team collaboration
- A teaming database of 800,000+ contractors
