Norfolk Naval Shipyard (NNSY) requires the rental of two (2) trailer-mounted Emergency Diesel Generators (EDGs) to provide standby emergency electrical power during unplanned power outages. See attached draft SOW and complete the Capabilities Statement. This Sources Sought Notice is issued in accordance with FAR 15.201 for market-research purposes only and in anticipation of a potential future procurement. This notice is not a solicitation, request for proposal, request for quotation, request for offer, or commitment by the Government to award a contract. The Government will not pay for any information, documentation, capability statements, or other costs incurred in responding to this notice. Responses will be used solely to assess industry capability, availability, market conditions, acquisition strategy, and the potential for small-business participation.

The Government has provided a draft of the statement of the work anticipated to be completed  as an enclosure to this sources sought document (see Enclosure (1)). The anticipated contract type will be firm-fixed price.
