Airfld-631, 632 REPLACE FIRE MAIN AND DOMESTIC WATER LINE

27 MAR 2025 WIB DECISION: BOSC Task Order 1. CURRENT CONDITION: • 6” HDPE water main from MHW-13B to building 631 is cracked. Gate valve 6-DIS-CTV-395 was closed to avoid waste of potable water, also the 3” HDPE domestic water line is a lateral of the 6” water main was also placed out of service • Sprinkler system in buildings 631-632 are out of service. • The domestic water lateral entering into the boiler room is damaged and needs to be replaced. A temporary water line was installed between the fire hydrant FH7400 and to the domestic water riser (exposed on exterior east wall) to provide water in both buildings. 2. REQUIREMENT: Provide required actions (labor, equipment, material, transportations, excavations, site restorations, etc.) to repair the water leak by replacement of the section of the underground pipeline. This task includes, but is not limited to, the following actions: • Excavate the grass area to expose the existing 150mm HDPE pipe, up the transition joints of the 3” HDPE domestic water pipe and of the fire main entering into the boiler room. • The estimated length of the area to excavate is 10-12mt. The estimated depth of the pipe is about 3mt below ground level. • Provide the equipment to pump the water out from the excavated area and from manhole MWH-13B • Remove and replace the existing gate valve 6-DIS-CTV-395 • Provide new section of HDPE 150mm pipeline including flanges, connectors, coupling, reducers, accessories and fittings for connection to the new gate valve in MHW-13B, 4” sprinkler system pipe, and domestic water 3” pipe line • Disconnect the temporary water line reconnect the existing pipe and replace final section of the same pipe connected to the backflow preventer and the lateral entering into the boiler room. • Perform pressure ...
