Annual Leachate Transport and Disposal FY 27 10/1/2026 - 9/30/2027

Alachua County, located in North Central Florida with its government seat in Gainesville, is seeking vendors to provide comprehensive leachate collection, transportation, and disposal services under an annual blanket purchase order for Fiscal Year 2027, spanning from October 1, 2026, to September 30, 2027. The work is centered at the Alachua County Transfer Station at 51156 NE 63rd Ave, Gainesville, FL, where a 21,000-gallon storage tank holds the leachate, with an estimated annual volume of 96,000 gallons. Vendors must be available 365 days per year and capable of deploying vehicles to the site within 72 hours of notification, including responding during extended or non-standard hours to address emergencies or natural disasters. In addition to leachate hauling, vendors are required to pump out a 500-gallon grit trap and four drain sumps, disposing of the solids on the County’s tip floor. All equipment, including tankers, pumps, and trucks, must comply with Motor Carrier (MC) 306 code standards for hazardous material cargo tanks, be free of any contaminants that could alter the leachate’s chemical properties, and display the vendor’s company logo while on County property. The basis of payment is per gallon transported and disposed of, with manifests reviewed and logged by the Transfer Station Manager.
