BELPAS-2569 Replace 2" underground water line.

7 AUG 25 WIB Decision: FMD / FSC Coordination on quarter execution needed. Cat 3 - EV --------------- 1. CURRENT CONDITION: • Water line feeding building 2569 is extremely deteriorated. The portion of pipe exposed in the boiler room may break anytime. • The pipe seems to be galvanized type installed in 2005 and it is partially clogged by calcium build-up. • In accordance with existing drawings, the excavation will required the crossing of the parking and grass area to reach the water main located along the main road. See attached plan. 2. REQUIREMENT: Provide labor, materials and equipment to: • Excavate the asphalt parking area to of the expose the water pipe including partial demolition. • Disconnect the old pipe from the existing gate valve (this valve is part of Pizzarotti property). • Run the new pipe and connect to the existing valve. Abandon the old pipe on site. • Drill the exterior wall of the boiler room and run the new pipe thru the wall. Due to the presence of the outdoor gas ramp and indoor piping, the exact position shall be determined on site. • Connect the new pipe to the existing backflow preventer (BFP). This work will require partial reconfiguration of the existing piping layout. • The connection work of the new water line at both ends shall be coordinated so to minimize the time of the water outage. • The contractor shall provide fittings, joints flanges, fittings, bolts, connectors and all the hardware required for the installation of the new water line. • Depth of the pipes is about 1.÷1.2mt below ground level. • Perform disinfection of the water line to meet potable water repair requirements (i.e. disinfected in advance with a chlorine solution at a minimum concentration of 1%, etc.).
