Bradley Channel - Jones to Main Street Repairs

The project involves repairing and replacing deteriorated concrete lining in the Bradley Channel drainage ditch between Jones Street and Main Street, spanning approximately 0.5 miles. The work includes removing and re-grading a 140-foot section of the eastern channel wall to construct a new access ramp, as well as fully replacing the degraded concrete on the western side of the channel. An existing maintenance bridge that hampers equipment movement through the channel will be demolished. The project is scheduled in two phases: bridge removal will occur in 2026, followed by the ramp installation and concrete replacements in 2027. The facility is an existing concrete drainage system with no public access restrictions, allowing for uninterrupted construction operations. The work is being managed by the Santa Barbara County Flood Control District, with environmental oversight provided by Andrew Raaf, the Environmental Manager.
