The College of Engineering (COE) at WCU seeks to engage with an automation system integrator for the design and construction of a baseline automated conveyor system. This system will serve as a fixture on which laboratory exercises in robotics and automation may be conducted. It is envisioned that students in the Robotics and Automation concentration of the BS-Mechanical Engineering (BSME) and students pursuing the Robotics and Automation Certificate from other majors within COE will use this conveyor system as a platform to design, mount, and test their own implementations of industrial-level process control solutions.
