NASA/MSFC intends to purchase the Hardware Maintenance from Concurrent Computer Corporation (CCC). CCC provides the Integrated Avionics Test Facilities (IATF) labs with systems utilizing their proprietary RedHawk Linux real-time operating system and all peripheral I/O devices and associated software. CCC provides the certification for the systems and the peripheral I/O devices testing and integrating in-house to guarantee real-time performance that meets the IATFs specific requirements. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to Sabrina Pearson at contact@example.gov or fax to +1 (555) 000-0000 no later than 4:30 p.m. local time on December 26, 2013. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government.
