Altium Server and Licenses
Solicitation # HQ072727QMH03
The Defense Microelectronics Activity is soliciting a firm-fixed-price contract under solicitation HQ072727QMH03 to upgrade its existing Altium license suite to Altium Enterprise and install an on-premises Enterprise server. This initiative aims to provide critical military design capabilities, including version control, configuration management, and component life-cycle management. The scope of work requires the installation and functional validation of the server by March 31, 2027, ensuring successful connection to a high availability SQL database cluster endpoint and a designated HA file share network path. Additionally, the contractor must demonstrate software interoperability, specifically with Solidworks Professional, and potentially with Keysight ADS, CST Antenna Magus, and PCB Doctor. The contract structure consists of a base period for the server installation and an initial four-month upgrade of 16 licenses, followed by three optional one-year renewal periods for 20 Altium Enterprise licenses extending through April 12, 2030. Award will be based on the best value, with price as the sole evaluation factor. Quotes are due by November 4, 2026, to Contracting Officer Mike Hallock. The procurement is justified as a sole source due to the proprietary nature of the software and the need to avoid incompatibility risks with existing PCB design tools.
