Scope: EVENTS OVERVIEW SCAG hosts the Regional Conference and General Assembly each year in May, with attendance of nearly 1,000 elected officials, city staff, business leaders, and other stakeholders involved in regional planning. The event program features a diverse slate of expert panels, keynote presentations, and, in some cases, technical demonstrations designed to provide information to navigate changes in the region. SCAG Media & Public Affairs staff develop the program in coordination with subject matter experts in the agency’s Planning Division and executive leadership. The primary audience includes Southern California’s leaders and innovators, including local elected officials, CEOs, business and civic leaders, transportation and environmental stakeholders, local government staff, and others. EVENT SUPPORT SERVICES SCAG seeks proposals from qualified firms to provide professional event management services for the Regional Conference and General Assembly.
