Fujinaka Low Water Crossing (Streambed Alteration Agreement EPIMS Notification No. SJN-63940-R2)

The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has executed Streambed Alteration Agreement EPIMS Notification Number SJN-63940-R2 for the replacement and reconstruction of the Fujinaka low water crossing on Mormon Slough in San Joaquin County. The project, proposed by Darrel Evensen and the Stockton East Water District, is located at 14500 Copperpolis Road, Stockton, California. The primary objective is to remove a known barrier to fish passage, thereby improving access to high quality spawning habitats from the lower San Joaquin River watershed to the upper reaches of the Calaveras River and New Hogan Dam, while also reducing downstream sedimentation caused by frequent overtopping of the current structure.
