TD708755 – On-Ramp Santa Clara Crossing Project (Notification of Lake or Streambed Alteration, No. EPIMS-VEN-19609-R5)

The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has amended Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement EPIMS Notification No. EPIMS-VEN-19609-R5, pursuant to section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to Southern California Edison Company (SCE), as represented by Victoria Parsons. The original Project consists of installing a temporary ramp into the Santa Clara River, vegetation removal within the channel, and removal of one wood H-frame structure (poles 4244682E and 4244683E). The activities covered by this Agreement include vegetation trimming, overland travel, grading, creation of a temporary berm, and partial removal of a wood H-frame structure. The Project’s activities result in 0.64 acre of temporary impacts to the streambed. The amendment changes the access route from the south of the Project area to directly north of the Project area via North Bank Drive, includes full removal of the H-frame structure, and adds removal of a steel caisson to 24 inches below grade. To support the modified access route, the Project adds a temporary culvert over Sudden Barranca and places heavy-duty composite ground protection mats along the access route. The amended Project reduces the total temporary impacts to 0.49 acre.
