General Plan Update

The California Department of Fish and Wildlife issued an Incidental Take Permit authorizing the construction of a single-family home on one acre of vacant land in Los Angeles County, California, which will result in the incidental take of 21 western Joshua trees protected under the Western Joshua Tree Conservation Act and the California Endangered Species Act. All submissions, including notifications and reports, must be sent electronically or in hard copy to CDFW, with no federal procurement infrastructure such as UEI, CAGE, or electronic invoicing systems involved, as this is a state environmental permit under the Fish and Game Code, not a federal contract. The lead agency for environmental review is Los Angeles County, with CDFW serving as the permitting authority, and financial obligations are directed to the Western Joshua Tree Conservation Fund via check or money order with the permit number clearly indicated.
