DEFICINCEY: The solar farm will significantly reduce the camp's reliance on traditional energy sources, promoting sustainability and lowering operational costs. Additionally, it will enhance energy resilience, ensuring a consistent power supply during operational hours and contributing to the camp's overall environmental goals. REQUIREMENT: The proposal for the solar farm serving facilities 730 and 731 must outline a comprehensive strategy to provide reliable power during operational hours. This initiative aims to enhance energy sustainability and reduce reliance on conventional power sources. The proposal should detail the solar panel installation, including specifications, expected energy output, and integration with existing energy systems. Collaboration with the Installation Energy Management Branch is essential to develop an effective energy management strategy that aligns with operational needs and energy efficiency goals. Additionally, the proposal must address site assessment, permitting, and compliance with regulations, as well as plans for maintenance and monitoring of the solar infrastructure. Overall, the proposal should demonstrate a clear commitment to enhancing energy resilience and sustainability for facilities 730 and 731. IMPACT: This Proposal is to support the Military Green Energy Initiative. This is to reduce the reliance on fossil fuels by adopting renewable energy sources, improving energy efficiency and developing resilient energy systems such as micro-grids.
