The United States Air Force, through AFLCMC/PZIBA at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, intends to sole source a contract to Elements IV Interiors for the addition of workstation furniture in Building 20676, based on the determination that this vendor is the only source capable of meeting the government’s requirement for compatibility with existing Haworth furniture systems. The acquisition, identified by solicitation number FA860126Q0060, falls under NAICS code 337214 for Office Furniture (except Wood) Manufacturing, with a size standard of 1,100 employees. The sole source justification centers on the proprietary nature of Haworth’s connector systems and warranty requirements, which necessitate continuity with existing furniture configurations, and no other vendor in the local area under the DAF Office Workplace Furniture program can provide this level of compatibility. All responses must be submitted via email to dametria.walder@us.af.mil no later than 12:00 p.m. local time on Monday, June 1, 2026, with the exact subject line “FA860126Q0060 OWF Building 20676”; only .PDF, .doc, or .xls attachments are permitted, as .zip and .exe files are blocked by base email filters. Elements IV Interiors must be registered in SAM.gov prior to award, as required for all DoD contractors. The contract will be awarded on a Lowest Price Technically Acceptable basis, with key evaluation criteria including full compliance with technical specifications such as furniture layout, power distribution per UFC 3-520-01, telecommunications cabling per IFS Appendix G11 and TIA/EIA standards, NIST SP800-171 Level 1 compliance for CAD files, delivery within 120 days of award, and installation by qualified, certified technicians. The work must occur on-site at Building 20676, with all deliveries coordinated through the unmanned receiving dock during designated hours, and personnel must comply with strict base access rules, including REAL ID Act compliance, pre-registration, prohibition of firearms, and limitations on movement outside designated work areas. Payment will be processed through WAWF upon submission of final AutoCAD files and invoice, and the contractor is responsible for all aspects of delivery, unloading, assembly, cleanup, and returning all keys and tools. INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE

The United States Air Force, AFLCMC/PZIBA, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio 45433-5344 publishes this notice of intent to award a sole source contract for informational purposes only. This proposed action is for the acquisition of additions of workstations for the Air Force Research Lab (AFRL) building 20676 located at Wright Patterson AFB, Ohio 45433.

The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) The Contracting Officer has determined that only one source is reasonably available: Elements IV Interiors

This proposed procurement will be a Sole Source under North American Industry Classification System code (NAICS) 337214 – Office Furniture (except Wood) Manufacturing, with a size standard of 1100 employees.

The proposed source is Elements IV Interiors, 3680 Wyse RD Dayton, Ohio 45414, United States.

This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations. However, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, quotation, or exception to the intent to purchase on a sole source basis, which shall be considered by the Government if received within five (5) days of this notice. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.

In order to comply with RFO 6.103-1, the reason for lack of competition is as follows: The proposed vendor, Elements IV Interiors, is the only known source in the WPAFB area under the Department of the Air Force (DAF) Office Workplace Furniture (OWF) program able to satisfy the Government's requirements. Current existing workstations are Haworth products and additional workstations would need to be compatible with existing furniture for product consistency and reconfiguration options. This manufacturer's furniture contains proprietary connectors and warranty claims of same manufacturer are required. Both AFRL and contracting personnel utilized subject matter experts with experience for this requirement and vendor outreach but were unable to find other resources that were able to meet this requirement.

The Department of Defense (DoD) has determined the System for Award Management (SAM) to be the single DoD registration for contractors who conduct business or who are interested in conducting business with the DoD.  Contractors must be registered in SAM prior to award for contracts issued after 29 May 2012.  You may contact SAM at 866-606-8220. SAM website:  www.SAM.gov.

The contact for this acquisition is Dametria Walder. Any information should be e-mailed to dametria.walder@us.af.mil no later than 12:00 pm Local (Wright-Patterson AFB) Time, Monday, 01 June 2026. Only inquiries/information received by this date will be considered.

Be advised that all correspondence sent via e-mail shall contain a subject line that reads “FA860126Q0060 OWF Building 20676.” Note that e-mail filters at Wright-Patterson AFB are designed to filter e-mails without subject lines or with suspicious subject lines or contents (i.e., .exe, or .zip files).  Therefore, if this subject line is not included, the e-mail may not get through the e-mail filters.  Also, be advised that .zip or .exe files are not allowable attachments and may be deleted by the e-mail filters at Wright-Patterson AFB.  If sending attachments with e-mail ensure only .PDF, .doc, or .xls documents are sent.  The e-mail filter may delete any other form of attachments.

Notice of Intent to Sole Source 60-ton Crane Repair
Solicitation # FA4626-SoleSource-CraneRepair
The Department of the Air Force, through the 341st Contracting Squadron, intends to award a sole-source contract to MGX Equipment Services, LLC for the complex repair of a 2007 Grove TMS700E 60-ton crane (AF Registration 07D00453) supporting the 819th Red Horse Squadron at Malmstrom Air Force Base. The asset is currently undrivable due to a hydraulic leak requiring major drive-train disassembly and the replacement of a 5-port hydraulic swivel manifold assembly. To certify the crane as fully functional, the scope of work includes replacing the wire rope, o-rings, fill cap with breather, element, lock pin, seal kit, and slip ring assembly, as well as performing structural inspections by authorized Grove technicians. All repairs must adhere to OEM specifications as identified in Technical Order 36-1-191. Because the crane cannot be driven and the government lacks a sufficiently large transport trailer, the asset must be transported to the MGX Equipment Services facility in Billings, Montana. The estimated total cost for the project is 53,565.41, which covers parts, labor, and return transportation. This requirement is being solicited as a sole-source action because MGX Equipment Services is the only known authorized dealer in Montana with the necessary capabilities and infrastructure to perform these specific repairs. Interested parties were requested to submit capability statements or quotations by September 25, 2026, to demonstrate if competition would be advantageous to the government.
