Local Public Health Research

The Proponent will work with Lambton Public Health to develop and implement local public health research and/or surveillance projects, including both qualitative and quantitative data collection, analysis and reporting of results.Lambton Public Health will define specific projects as needs arise and work with the Proponent to design projects that fit within the annual budget.The County reserves the right to award other research projects independently.Data collection projects may include various sampling populations (e.g. all residents of Lambton County, specific target groups, community partners, or Lambton Public Health staff).In general, major project activities will include:Work with Lambton Public Health staff to develop methods and tools for data collection appropriate for specific research questions or surveillance needs. Develop a sampling plan to ensure adequate representation and reliable prevalence estimates for the County, other specified geographic areas or defined sub-populations within the County.Conduct formal pilot tests of all data collection tools.Develop the final data collection tools based on the results of the formal pilot test.Administer final data collection tools (e.g. telephone, online, paper-based surveys, interviews, focus groups).Determine sample weights based on sampling plan and collected data.Prepare final data files, analysis and/or technical reports as defined and agreed upon for each specific project.
