--NOTICE of Intent to Award a Sole Source Contract for ESRI Software Maintenance Services.

This is a NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT using the simplified acquisition procedures for commercial items (FAR Part 12) to procure ESRI Software Maintenance by the HQ USAINSCOM, Directorate of Contracting, ATTN: IAPC-DOC, 8825 Beula h Street, Fort Belvoir, VA 22060-5246. The Govt intends to award a sole source contract (FAR Part 13.5) for the above products and services to the firm of Environmental Systems Research Institute, 380 New York Street, Redlands, CA 92373. Note: This firm i s the sole developer as well as sole manufacturer / distributor of this ESRI Software product. The Proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit only one source. Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsibl e source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency requirements. DELIVERY: 12 Months from Date of Contract Award. All responses received within 5 days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determ ination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order/contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
