The US Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA) requires two additional medical fielding teams, each consisting of six members, to support the reset and modernization of medical equipment for returning and deploying Army units. These teams must include a seasoned chief, a data integration specialist familiar with the Army's TEWLS application, and four fielders. The teams are to be operational by April 16, 2009, with a contract period of two years. USAMRAA plans to extend a sole source contract modification to Eagles Systems, Inc., the current contractor performing under a cost-type, award term contract, who have demonstrated exceptional performance and earned additional award terms. The contract modification will continue to fall under the existing contract number DAMD17-03-D-0002. This notice serves as a non-competitive intent announcement rather than a solicitation; no formal requests for quotes or proposals will be accepted. While the government invites other firms to submit written notifications demonstrating their capability to meet the requirements within the specified timeframe, the government reserves the right to proceed with the sole source award if no suitable responses are received. Submissions must be detailed and received within 15 calendar days from the notice’s publication date, directed to the designated Contracting Officer in Frederick, Maryland, with telephone inquiries explicitly disallowed. The final decision to compete or not remains solely at the government’s discretion.
