Site 0903-02 is located on the east levee of the Sacramento River Deep Water Ship Channel and the Yolo Bypass, north of the South Cross Levee where Jefferson Blvd crosses, and east of the Sacramento River south of West Sacramento, CA (start: 38.514178, -121.582115; end 38.511914, -121.581825), in Yolo County. To restore the site to pre-flood conditions, the recommended repair work consists of removing onsite organic material, excavating to a slope of 2H:1V approximately 3 feet below the failure plan, and reconstructing to a 2H:1V slope with appropriate levee fill material. The excavation was be benched and new fill material was keyed into the existing slope to confirm a good bond. Overhead utility and power lines along the landside slope and toe were removed and replaced or relocated to enable this construction.
