Preventative Hardware and Firmware Maintenance

RFQ - 09-T-0325 UIS9C2517 The Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USU), located on the National Naval Medical Campus in Bethesda, MD, has a requirement for preventative hardware and firmware maintenance on the Government owned Digital Equipment Corporation (DEC) VAX and Alpha Systems and various peripheral equipment. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared under the authority of FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is a request for quotations (RFQ) in accordance with FAR Part 13 - Simplified Acquisition Procedures. It is the responsibility of the contractor to monitor FedBizOpps for any amendments to the solicitation. This RFQ incorporates all provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-34. All responsible sources may submit a quote, which will be considered by USUHS. For this procurement, the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 811212 (Computer and Office Machine Repair and Maintenance). EVALUATION FACTORS The government will award a Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose quote, conforming to this announcement, will be most advantageous to the government. Award will be made on a best value determination considering price and non-price factors in accordance with FAR 52.212-2 - Evaluation - Commercial Items Clause. - 1.Price: Firm-Fixed Price for all requirements listed in the Specifications List. - 2.Technical: Quality must demonstrate experience in preventative maintenance of Digital Equipment Corporation (DEC) VAX and Alpha Systems and expertise of technicians. - 3.Past Performance: Contractor's knowledge of previous experience with preventative maintenance of Digital Equipment Corporation (DEC) VAX and Alpha Systems. Please provide two references from relevant past experiences. To be eligible for contract award, a contractor must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. For instructions on registering with the CCR, please see the CCR website at www.ccr.gov. All offerors are required to submit a completed copy of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Provision 52.212-3 (Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items) and 52.222-48 (Exemption from Application of the Service Contract Act to Contracts for Maintenance, Calibration or Repair of Certain Equipment Certification) with their offer.
