This is a new requirement (OEM is Collins Rome) for the F-15, F-16, B-1B, and B-2 power take off (PTO) shafts and power transmission shafts (PTS). This contract is to open lines of communication with this OEM and provide program management and engineering services which are required to support active aircraft in cases where Service Revealed Deficiencies (SRDs) are identified and quick action is required to resolve safety issues or supply issues that lead to grounded aircraft. If these services are not available the ability to resolve safety issues, improving the reliability of the aircraft will lead to unsupported aircraft and they will not meet mission requirements by grounding aircraft.
