Provision of Facilities Mechanical Services

The Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo is seeking quotations for RFQ-2026-1356 to provide facilities mechanical services across its urban and rural service areas. The scope of work includes plumbing and piping repairs, HVAC installations and repairs, sheet metal work, duct cleaning, and specialized services such as fuel oil system replacement and CCTV drainage inspections. The successful vendor must adhere to the National Plumbing Code of Canada 2021, the Canadian Gas Code CSA B149:20, and the Canadian Refrigeration Code B52:18, with a Gasfitter A designation required for specific tasks. The contract is intended for a three-year term with the option for two one-year extensions, and the municipality may award the agreement to multiple legal entities. Award selection is based on a total score derived from mandatory technical requirements, rated criteria—including social procurement and indigenous participation—and pricing. All submissions must be made through the bids&tenders electronic system. The vendor is responsible for obtaining all necessary permits and security clearances via RCMP records for personnel entering facilities. Payment terms are set at 30 days from the receipt of an accurate invoice in Canadian dollars, with unit prices remaining firm for the first twelve months. All work is subject to final acceptance by an RMWB representative or project manager based on industry quality standards.
