Full Description

The 10th Mission Support Group, Directorate of Contracting, United States Air Force Academy Colorado, intends to award a sole source commercial purchase order to Cerner Corporation. This is based on the requirement to up-grade eight (8), 18GB hard drives for the Cerner, Operating Room Database Management Application (ORMA) at the USAF Academy hospital. The sole source justification approved by the Contracting Officer is as follows: 1. The requirement if for the up-grade of eight (8), 18GB Hard Drives and support for the Cerner Operating Room Database Management Application (ORMA) at the USAF Academy Hospital. The ORMA Server, Software, and end-user license agreements are copyrighted and used for our surgical documentation, for patient records. The software application support is not available from any other source. The system meets the needs of the Surgical Suite Flight at the USAF Academy Hospital. ORMA was purchased with the understanding that it meets the sole needs of this department and has been fully operational now for over 1 year. The system now needs to be up-graded, as stated above Cerner Corporation is the only company that can provide, install and service the upgrades to the system. 2. We now have approximately 3 months of storage capacity left, with our current system at 90% filled capacity. With the addition of more disc space to the system, we will gain 2 more years of use. During this time, a search for a bigger system will be accomplished, but until then, this system should be up-graded as soon as possible. 3. Cerner Corporation is the only known source that can satisfy the government's requirement This posting is for notification purposes only; this is not a request for quotes.
