The University of Washington (UW) is issuing this Request for Information (RFI) in collaboration with the Central Puget Sound Regional Transit Authority (Sound Transit or ST) to obtain information regarding commercially available products, implementation approaches, hosting models, system integration capabilities, and vendor experience that may support the development of a Digital Unified Coordination Center (DUCC). The DUCC project is a collaborative initiative between UW and Sound Transit intended to enhance cross-organizational information sharing, shared situational awareness, and coordinated operations for Sound Transit operators, administrators, leadership, and field personnel. The envisioned solution would support day-to-day operations for Link light rail, commuter rail, Bus Rapid Transit, ST Express bus services, and other assets owned by Sound Transit (parking garages, elevators, etc.) including the identification, coordination, and resolution of operational incidents.
