Sale of Property ("Gregg Road"

INVITATION FOR BID: IFB 2425-14-S-25 Wichita Falls Independent School District ("WFISD" or "District") issues this INVITATION FOR BID from qualified individuals and or firms for district-owned property located at 4700 Gregg Road, Wichita Falls, TX 76310 (surface only), otherwise referred to as "Property" or "Gregg Road."   It is the responsibility of the interested bidder to read, understand and follow all instructions of this Invitation to Bid.  Each submission must be a complete bid or it may be disqualified.  
Bid Published: October 18, 2024 Sealed Bid Deadline: Before 2:00 pm January 7, 2025  Sealed Bid Opening: Immediately following sealed bid deadline Bid Opening Location: WFISD Board Room 1104 Broad Street Wichita Falls, TX 76301
Sealed bids must be submitted via WFISD's Ion Wave electronic bidding platform (this platform), or, in a sealed envelope containing complete bid response including all required response documentation within this solicitation delivered to WFISD, 1104 Broad Street, Wichita Falls, TX 76301, before 2:00.00 p.m. Tuesday, January 7, 2025. Envelopes must be clearly marked “Sealed Bid for IFB 2425-14-S-25" and checked in upon delivery and mutually signed by WFISD representative AND by the delivery person.  RISK OF ON-TIME DELIVERY IS SOLELY THAT OF THE BIDDER. LATE BIDS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. 
Bid documents MUST be complete and signed by an individual authorized to contractually bind the individual or firm submitting the bid response. A failure to properly submit all requirements of the bid on-time and to provide authorized signature(s) within the response may cause it to be rejected as NON-RESPONSIVE.   Pursuant to WFISD Board Policy CDB (Legal) and Texas Local Gov’t Code 272.001(a), WFISD Board of Trustees are soliciting sealed bids for the sale of the Following real property:
1. The property is legally described as follows: Block 12, Denton County School Land League 2, Abstract 57 4700 Gregg Road (42.79 Acres) SURFACE ONLY Wichita Falls, TX 76310 The property is offered in “as-is" condition and surface only.
THE PROPERTY, TOGETHER WITH ANY IMPROVEMENTS THEREON, SHALL BE SOLD INDIVIDUALLY, “AS IS, WHERE IS, WITH ALL LATENT AND PATENT DEFECTS AND FAULTS.” THERE IS NO WARRANTY OF ANY KIND BY THE DISTRICT, INCLUDING THAT ANY PROPERTY IS FIT FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. IN ADDITION, THE PROPERTY IS BEING SOLD SUBJECT TO THE CONDITIONS, EXCEPTIONS AND RESERVATIONS CONTAIN IN THE INVITATION TO BID, INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS, AND EXHIBITS THERETO, AND SUBJECT TO ALL RECORDED INSTRUMENTS.
THE SUCCESSFUL BIDDER WILL BE REQUIRED TO PURCHASE THE PROPERTY BY PAYMENT IN FULL IN CASH OR BY CASHIER’S CHECK AT THE TIME OF CLOSING.
ALL BIDDERS MUST COMPLY WITH THE BID SPECIFICATIONS ADOPTED BY WFISD AND OUTLINED IN THIS REQUEST FOR BID. BIDS MUST BE SUBMITTED ON THE BID FORMS INCLUDED IN THE BID PACKAGE. BID RESPONSES NOT MADE AS SET FORTH IN THE BID PACKAGE MAY BE DEEMED NON-RESPONSIVE AND MAY NOT BE CONSIDERED.
WFISD BOARD IS NOT REQUIRED TO ACCEPT ANY OFFER/BID. WFISD RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REJECT ANY AND ALL BIDS.
The contracted sale of the property is subject to the approval of the WFISD Board of Trustees and, if necessary, the Texas Education Agency.
