The project consists of the rehabilitation of six above ground water storage tanks ranging from 75,000 to 721,000 gallons capacity in the unincorporated communities of Boulder Creek, Ben Lomond, and Felton. The tanks require recoating to extend their service life. The tank recoating process includes sampling and testing the existing coatings, removal of interior coatings, rewelding damaged metal surfaces, and recoating interior and exterior surfaces. Maintenance, repair, or replacement of tank components or appurtenant structures such as ladders and fences may be needed. Removal of existing tank coatings will follow best management practices and regulatory requirements for any hazardous waste. All work will be limited to existing roads, turnarounds, and within fenced operational areas around tank footprints.
