/ SU-CB-23-26 DISHWASHER REPLACEMENT - COMMONS BUILDING

Salisbury University is soliciting proposals under RFP SU-2710-SS for the replacement of dishwashing equipment at the Commons Building. The project scope involves the demolition and removal of the existing dishwashing machine, pulper/extractor, and tray accumulator, followed by the furnishing and installation of a new commercial dishwashing machine, pulper/extractor, tray accumulator, soiled tray conveyor systems, mobile sorting tables, and soak sinks. The contractor is responsible for coordinating final plumbing, electrical, and HVAC connections, performing field verification of utilities, and providing testing, start-up, commissioning, and owner training. The on-site work is scheduled to begin on May 20, 2027, with substantial completion by June 18, 2027, and final completion by July 2, 2027. Proposals must be submitted via Bid Locker by October 20, 2026, as a two-volume submission consisting of a technical proposal and a separate price proposal. Award evaluation will be based on a weighted system where technical scoring, focusing on proposed equipment and project approach, carries more weight than financial scoring. The successful contractor must provide a lump sum price and adhere to various compliance standards, including Maryland state tax registrations, Buy American Steel requirements, ADA compliance, and the provision of performance and payment bonds.
