The project will close waste management units and restore wetlands at the Martinez Renewable Fuels Facility in accordance with the Regional Water Quality Control Board's Waste Discharge Requirements and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Administrative Order Resource Conservation and Recovery Act 09-89-0013A. Closure activities will include excavation and consolidation of waste material and associated soils, treatment of contaminated soils, fill placement, groundwater sampling, and construction of a final cover or cap in accordance with California Code of Regulations (CCR), Title 27 requirements.
