-The project scope of work shall renovate and expand the current footprint of building 4431 in order to house an additional 2 water tanker trailers for a total of 5 trailers required to support the current and future COMSUBPAC operations, to include an office space and restrooms. The existing building currently can only house 2 trailers. The scope of work includes partial demolition to the existing pavement area affected and in preparation for the expansion work. Also included in the scope of work is to repair and expand the inadequate and undersized partial pavement area used in routing, maneuvering and staging the trailers. The current pavement area is also comprised of a partial pavement area, gravel & dirt and grassy patches that routinely create clouds of fine dust & dirt during en-route and parking trailer activities that greatly affect the required cleanliness protocols and procedures of the Pure Water operations. Repairing and expanding the existing facility and pavement area will satisfy the tanker trailer storage & protection requirements, greatly improve the vehicular-trailer maneuverability and greatly enhance operational efficiency. The SAR approval is only applicable in accordance with COA3 of MILCON P-818 Guam Maintenance Facility (GMF) Submarine, Intermediate Maintenance Facilty (IMF) Study, dated January 2022. MEC Annex is submitted/routed separately. -The Future Development Plan for Polaris Point includes a number of planning actions to address deficiencies in submarine operations and base support facilities while optimizing developed land. It responds to existing conditions and analyses findings and addresses established priorities formulated during the ADP Workshop.
