Parking Permits University of HawaiiThe U.S. Department of Commerce/NOAA’s Western Acquisition Division intends to award a sole-source purchase order to the University of Hawaii for 27 parking permits at the University of Hawaii at Manoa to support employees of the National Weather Service Weather Forecast Office in Honolulu. This requirement is non-competitive due to the unique necessity of having parking directly adjacent to the 24/7 operational forecasting office, with no alternative parking options available within walking distance that meet safety, security, and operational needs. The permits are required for a one-year period from August 18, 2026, through August 17, 2027, under NAICS code 812930. No set-aside provisions apply, and the procurement is justified solely on the grounds that the University of Hawaii is the only provider capable of fulfilling this specific need. This presolicitation notice does not solicit competitive bids but invites interested parties to submit documentation or requests for additional information within 15 days of publication to challenge the sole-source determination. All submissions must be in writing and sent to the designated point of contact, Casey Keating, at NOAA. Oral communications are not accepted, and the government retains full discretion over whether to proceed without competition based on responses received. The solicitation number is 142060-26-0049CM2, and responses are due by July 23, 2026. PTAG Intent to Sole Source – Additional Leased Parking for USPTO Alexandria CampusThe United States Patent and Trademark Office is proceeding with a sole source procurement under its unique authority granted by the Patent and Trademark Office Efficiency Act and the Patent and Trademark Office Acquisition Guidelines to lease approximately 500 additional parking spaces in the West Garage at 550 Elizabeth Lane, Alexandria, Virginia, which is directly connected to the USPTO Alexandria Campus at 600 Dulany Street.
