Full Description

RFP 25-07-PI requests proposals from eligible entities that have experience assessing the risks of pests entering and moving through the state. Priority will be given to eligible entities that have experience with risk assessment projects and are familiar with the existing pathways of pests entering the state as well as potential pathways for pests to enter or further move throughout the state. Additionally, experience with the transportation of goods into or within the state will be considered a priority. To achieve this goal, the HDOA announces the availability of approximately $240,000 in general funds for this Biosecurity Project. HDOA will consider proposals with clear objectives, measurable outcomes that support achieving the objectives, and a process/method of data collection to show the measurable outcomes were met. The HDOA will administer a competitive process to award funds and provide oversight to monitor the project. The primary goal of RISKASSESSMENT2024 is to provide HDOA with a report assessing the risks of the pathways where pests enter or move, or have the potential to enter or move, within the state and that identifies critical control points where HDOA staff should increase efforts to minimize and/or prevent pests from entering or further moving throughout the state.
