Oregon State University intends to contract for the provision of a buoyancy engine for underwater Slocum electric gliders from Teledyne Webb Research as a sole source because of its ability to meet compatibility requirements of an existing line of equipment. Oregon State University 's research department has Teledtne Slocum gliders and is in need of engines to run them for it;'s research needs. The Buoyancy engine must be compatible with Teledyne Slocum electric gliders and deliver 200-meter capable change in buoyancy for underwater gliders. Teledyne Webb Research is the only manufacturer and distributer of their buoyancy engine to run the gliders. An entity may challenge this determination no later than the closing date indicated on the website. Challenges must be submitted to Cassandra Hurd by email at cassandra.hurd@oregonstate.edu.
