CMP Rehabilitation Outside of Right-Of-Way Phase III - Measure P / CIP No. DRN0219

The City of Chula Vista is implementing the CMP Rehabilitation Outside of Right-Of-Way Phase III project, identified as CIP No. DRN0219. This project involves the rehabilitation of corrugated metal pipes at 23 citywide locations using trenchless pipe-lining methods. Cured-In-Place Pipe (CIPP) will be used for pipes with a diameter of less than 30 inches, while Geopolymer Pipe linings will be applied to pipes 30 inches or larger. The scope of work includes cleaning the pipes, filling depressions with mortar concrete, installing liners via pull-in, spray, or spin-cast application methods, and performing final closed-circuit television inspections. Six specific locations, numbered 16, 17, 18, 20, 21, and 22, are situated within or adjacent to Multiple Species Conservation Plan open space preserve lands. Consequently, these sites require the implementation of avoidance and minimization measures during construction as mandated by Section 7.5.2 Adjacency Management Issues of the City's MSCP Subarea Plan. The project has been determined exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act under Sections 15301 and 15302, as it is expected to have no significant environmental impacts.
