Custodial Services for Municipal Center Buildings

The Town of Riverdale Park, Maryland, is soliciting proposals for custodial services at its Municipal Center buildings, specifically Town Hall and the Police Department. The contract is for an initial one-year term with the possibility of two one-year extensions. The scope of work includes daily cleaning for Town Hall five days per week and the Police Department seven days per week, covering approximately 5,866 and 6,427 square feet respectively. Services encompass daily glass and storefront cleaning, specific vacuuming schedules for the Police Department, and biannual deep cleaning of carpets, hard-floor waxing, and window washing. The contractor is responsible for providing all equipment, tools, and cleaning products, and must provide specialized per-incident biohazard remediation for Police Department holding cells. Eligible bidders must have at least seven years in business and provide references for similar contracts performed within the last five years. Proposals are due by September 11, 2026, at 12:00 p.m., and must include a bid security deposit equal to ten percent of the total bid price. Pricing must be submitted via Attachment J, with separate costs for each building, biannual services, and biohazard cleaning, as well as dual pricing options for the provision of custodial supplies. Personnel assigned to the Police Department must comply with the Town's security requirements, including potential background checks. Evaluation will be based on price, experience, qualifications, capacity, and past performance.
