Subject to FAR clause 52.215-3 entitled “Request for Information or Solicitation for Planning Purposes,” this announcement constitutes a Sources Sought Notice for information and planning purposes for qualified and experienced sources to procure DLR replacement part for a Rotary Pump in support of Systems Engineering at Navy Munitions Command Atlantic (NMCLANT).


Interested parties are encouraged to respond to this RFI/Sources Sought Notice.


Note: This is not a solicitation announcement for proposals, and no contract will be awarded from this announcement. It is not to be construed in any way as a commitment by the Government for any purpose other than to gain the information requested, nor will the Government pay for the information submitted in response.


Scope:


The Naval Supply Systems Command Fleet Logistics Center (NAVSUP FLC) Norfolk, Virginia is issuing this Sources Sought Notice to conduct market research to identify interested parties within the continental United States that is a reseller or distributor for the requirement detailed below in support of Systems Engineering at Navy Munitions Command Atlantic (NMCLANT).


  • Required Supply: DLR replacement part for a Rotary Pump
  • Details: This control dwg is associated with (3) different pump models. There is the -1, -2 and -3 pump designs. The -2 and -3 have the same motor but different pumps. The -1 is obsolete and no longer used. We are trying to get rebuild parts for the -3 pumps. The parts list for the -3 pumps is 2887887-5 and as shown in the table below, does not have the side channels and impellers. The -6 pump repair kit is for the -2 pump which is a totally different design and manufacturer.
