The Department of Veterans Affairs is pursuing a sole-source procurement under FAR 6.302-1(b)(i) to secure maintenance and calibration services for the TempTrak medical monitoring system at the Jesse Brown VA Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois, with Veterans Healthcare Supply Solutions, Inc. as the exclusively authorized provider due to OEM restrictions by Copeland/Cooper Atkins. This procurement, identified by solicitation number 36C25226Q0471 and NAICS code 811310, is non-competitive and justified solely on the grounds that the TempTrak system’s proprietary design and manufacturer-specific service requirements preclude other vendors from performing the necessary work. The contracting office, located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, has set a response deadline of May 21, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. CDT, with all submissions required to be sent via email to Aaron Rogers, the designated Contracting Officer. No formal solicitation document, pricing details, contract value, or clause structure is available at this time, and the procurement is not open to competitive bidding unless contrary information is received by the deadline. The performance location is clearly defined as 820 South Damen Avenue, Chicago, IL, and while no detailed statement of work, inspection criteria, payment instructions, or invoice requirements are specified, the scope is limited to OEM-authorized maintenance and calibration services. The government retains sole discretion over whether to proceed without competition, and no representations, certifications, socioeconomic classifications, or special contract clauses beyond the sole-source justification are included in the available documentation.
