Lima - Chancery Generators Maintenance

The U.S. Embassy in Lima, Peru is seeking a local contractor to perform planned maintenance and inspection services on five diesel standby generator systems located at the Chancery building, including models Cummins 1250 DFLC, Cummins 350 DFCC, and Cummins 250DQDA. The contract is a Firm Fixed Price purchase order, with services divided into annual and semi-annual maintenance cycles scheduled for November 2026 and May 2027 respectively. The scope of work requires comprehensive maintenance of the generator’s prime mover, alternator, fuel, cooling, ventilation, lubrication, start, transfer, and control systems, including quarterly and semi-annual servicing, replacement of air cleaner elements, oil and filter changes, engine oil sampling, and replacement of fuel filters and water separators. All fluids and parts must meet or exceed manufacturer specifications and be delivered in original sealed containers. The contractor must provide one set of engine belts per unit onsite at contract start, submit a detailed maintenance schedule for approval prior to work, and be available for emergency support within 24 hours of notification by the Contracting Officer’s Representative. Strict compliance with manufacturer technical manuals is mandatory, while major overhauls, injector replacements, and component replacements such as pistons, bearings, or crankshafts are explicitly excluded. The contractor must adhere to U.S. safety and operational standards, including the use of appropriate personal protective equipment, lockout/tagout procedures, coordination with embassy security and operations personnel, and reporting of all incidents and near misses. All hazardous materials used must be accompanied by Material Safety Data Sheets for approval.
